In conjunction with the launch of the new Bosch hub motor, Velo de Ville presents the new HUB-e, a line of eBikes that seeks to combine lightness with the benefits of assisted pedaling. The German brand based in Altenberge has not only focused on the comfort of assistance, but also on the before and after, that is when you have to transport the bike to the basement, maneuver it in a narrow courtyard, or park it in front of the house.
The HUB-e aims to inaugurate a new generation of urban eBikes for everyday use. The beating heart of the HUB-e is the new Bosch HUB hub motor, powered by the Bosch PowerTube 360 Wh battery. With a torque of 45 Nm and a maximum power of up to 400 watts, the motor provides dynamic and smooth assistance for city traffic. The total weight is 2.3 kg, and the design remains clean and minimalist because the motor unit integrates best into the rear wheel hub. Thanks to the integrated Bluetooth interface, the bike also connects perfectly to the Bosch Smart System for smart management of routes and assistance parameters. The wide-section tires effectively absorb rough terrain (such as cobblestones or uneven road sections), while the raised riding position ensures excellent visibility in urban traffic. Despite its lightness, the HUB-e boasts a maximum load capacity (total weight allowed) of 140 kg, offering ample space for groceries or other bags.
HUB-e XS: the ultra-compact variant
The HUB-e family is completed with the HUB-e XS version, a more compact variant designed for those seeking maximum maneuverability without sacrificing comfort and performance. Also available starting from 19 kg (with a maximum load capacity of 140 kg), the XS version is offered with 26-inch wheels and Wave (low step-over) or Diamond frame configuration.
