2 October 2026

Enviolo has appointed Omar El Nayal as chief operating officer (COO). The manager will report to CEO Alexander Buytendijk. El Nayal joins the Management Board and will be responsible for Operations and Supply Chain, Data and Analytics, and ESG. El Nayal joined Enviolo three years ago as the company’s first director of ESG, contributing to building “Envision,” the company’s holistic sustainability strategy. In this role, Enviolo has introduced independent human rights audits at various levels of its supply chain, reduced carbon emissions intensity by over 35% from the 2022 baseline, and significantly increased the recycled content in key products and packaging. His mandate has progressively expanded, including the 2025 strategy and, in early 2026, operations and supply chain”.

Omar embodies Enviolo’s values: passion, loyalty, authenticity, and joyfulness,” said Alexander Buytendijk, chief executive officer of Enviolo. “He approaches his work with authentic dedication and brings clarity, empathy, and transparency to every challenge. Equally important, his positive energy strengthens those around him. We are confident that his leadership will guide our operations in Enviolo’s next growth phase.” “Behind Enviolo’s distinctive products is a complex network of suppliers, manufacturing partners, and logistics operators that must function as a single system. Part of my job is to orchestrate these flows. The other part is to make the model itself more agile and robust, so it can withstand our growth. My goal is for our customers to find doing business with Enviolo as smooth as the journeys they take with our products,” El Nayal stated. Before joining Enviolo, El Nayal held leadership roles in the packaging and hospitality sectors, where he worked on operational excellence and using sustainability as a lever for business growth. He began his career in academia as a researcher and strategy professor at the Catรณlica Lisbon School of Business & Economics in Portugal. He holds a PhD in Strategic Management from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, where he continues to teach in Executive Education programs.
