The Cycling Tourism Fair returns to Padua from March 19 to 21, 2027

2 October 2026

The Cyclo Tourism Fair is scheduled in Padua from March 19 to 21, 2027 for its sixth edition. Three days at the Padua Fair dedicated to bicycle travel and an event that brings together destinations, organizations, tour operators, accommodation facilities, bicycle and service companies, professionals, international buyers, and the general public, providing a good guide to understand industry trends. After the growth recorded in 2026, the Fair is preparing for an even larger edition, with 20,000 square meters of exhibition space, over 300 expected exhibitors and co-exhibitors, more than 60 international buyers and over 5,000 professional operators. Three stages are dedicated to presentations and training, while a digital b2b platform supports networking and matching activities between national and international operators.  The format continues to connect the different aspects of cycle tourism: those who build and promote the offer, those who market it, and those who choose the bicycle to discover territories and destinations. A model that allows the present entities to meet a vertical audience, develop new collaborations, learn about good practices and new development models, and position themselves within the European cycle tourism ecosystem.

A day dedicated to business

Also this year, the first day, Friday, March 19, is dedicated to the Forum, reserved for sector operators, with the aim of creating meeting opportunities, as well as training and presentation and discussion on successful case studies and new business models. The b2b program includes a schedule of appointments with buyers from around the world. To support and facilitate professional relationships, a new dedicated b2b digital platform is provided, designed to facilitate communication and matching between operators.  During the weekend, the Fair opens to the passionate general public and to those approaching cycle tourism for the first time, creating a direct meeting opportunity with destinations, itineraries, operators, and companies. The ability of the event to attract an audience highly interested in bicycle travel is also evident from the profile of those who visited the last edition: according to the survey conducted in 2026, 72% had already taken a cycling holiday and 81% choose and plan their next cycle tourism destination during the Fair.

News of the sixth edition

For 2027, the Fair further expands the spaces dedicated to various forms of cycle tourism and the bicycle industry in all its aspects, with four special areas: eRoad, dedicated to road cycling and proposals such as big climbs, training camps, and circuits; eMtb, for trail areas, bike parks, marathon circuits, XC, and gravity; eGravel, dedicated to gravel roads, permanent circuits, and bikepacking; and Events Area, designed to enhance sporting events as tools for discovering and promoting territories.  An offer that allows territories and operators to present different experiences to an audience already interested in cycle tourism, simultaneously connecting demand, supply, and the professional chain. Also this year, the second edition of the Cycle Tourism Index, signed by Bikenomist and Komoot, is presented during the Fair, revealing the favorite destinations of foreign cycle tourists and showing when cycle tourism is concentrated in different territories throughout the year.  Another highly anticipated report is the one on the state of the sector’s economy “Traveling with the bike”, produced by Isnart-Unioncamere for the Chamber of Commerce’s Tourism Economy Observatory, in collaboration with Legambiente. Last year, the report estimated around 49 million cycle tourism stays in our country in 2025, for a tourism capable of generating an economic value of 6.4 billion euros in the territories.

The fifth edition of the Cyclo Tourism Fair recorded 27,000 visitors in 2026, a growth of 22.7% compared to the previous edition, and 268 exhibitors and co-exhibitors from 20 countries and 12 Italian regions, an increase of 67.5%. In addition, over 5,000 professionals, 48 international buyers, and more than 1,000 scheduled appointments were present. This growth strengthens the role of the event as a meeting place for territories, operators, and the public.
